Da7ee7, the screen name of Ahmed El-Ghandour, is one of the clearest proofs that long-form, rigorous content travels in Arabic. The Egyptian educator has been the benchmark for Arabic popular science since 2014, taking subjects that would normally need a textbook and turning them into fast, funny, densely-researched episodes.
His channel has grown past two million subscribers on that formula alone, with no shortcut to shorter or lighter. Educated at the American University in Cairo and the University of Hong Kong, he built a register that respects the audience’s intelligence, and the size of that audience makes the argument better than any pitch deck: Arabic-speaking viewers will sit through serious work when it is made well.
