Ahmad Al Shugairi is among the most influential education-and-inspiration voices in the Gulf. The Saudi media personality from Jeddah made his name with Khawatir, the reflective series he hosted from 2005 to 2015 that turned quiet social commentary into appointment viewing across the Arab world.
Shugairi pairs that on-air presence with serious reach online: he was once ranked the single most-followed account in Saudi Arabia on Twitter, with a following in the tens of millions. A Berkeley MBA, he built a register that is rare in the region’s media: calm, self-questioning, and aimed at getting an audience to reflect rather than just react.
